{“en”:”Hey there. I’m Allison, and I’m going to show you how to make mini diaper cakes for a gender reveal baby shower. They are so cute! Super simple to make. And what’s really nice about them is that they’re easy to transport to the party. Here’s what you’ll need. Start with seven diapers. Roll each from front to back. Cluster the rolled diapers together and secure them with a rubber band, leaving a bit of room at the center of the cake. Stuff the center of each cake with bibs and washcloths. Wrap ribbon around the cluster to hide the rubber band, and decorate the cake to match the theme of your shower. Now it’s time to add your bow tie and butterfly washcloths. Lay your washcloth flat and fold it into a small rectangle. To do this, I folded mine in half three times.

Cinch the center of the rectangle like this, and secure with a small rubber band to form the base of the bow tie and butterfly. To put the finishing touches on your bow tie, cut a small piece of blue ribbon. Fold it to be the width of the center of the bow tie. Then wrap the ribbon around the center and secure it in the back with hot glue.

Next, place a dab of hot glue on the back center of your bow tie ribbon and secure it to the ribbon on your mini cake, making sure not to touch the washcloth or diaper with hot glue. Now let’s attach a butterfly to a diaper cake. Fold your pipe cleaner in half around the center of your butterfly. Thread the back half of the pipe cleaner through the ribbon on your mini diaper cake. Twist once or twice to secure, and coil the loose ends to create butterfly antennas. If they seem too long, trim a little bit off the ends. If you like this bow tie and butterfly theme, wait until the end of this video to click on our gender reveal game tutorial. Here you have it.
